What is a Japanese-Style Bagel?

🥯Haru Bagels Newsletter, June 2026🥯

Japan’s Unique Twist on the Classic Bagel!

✨️The "Mochi-Mochi" Secret:

Unlike traditional dense, heavy bagels, Japanese-style bagels feature textures that are soft, light, and uniquely chewy—a texture we call "mochi-mochi." Our bagels are baked to be beautifully soft on the outside with a wonderfully pillow-soft, bouncy chew inside.

🍓Naturally Flavored & Nutritious:

What makes our bagels truly special is that we knead real, nutritious fruits and vegetables directly into the dough for a natural flavor and vibrant look. We also love sharing our heritage through authentic Japanese flavors like Matcha (green tea), Anko (sweet red bean), Edamame, and more!

👍️How to Enjoy Your Bagel:

Because our bagels are uniquely soft and chewy, they are delicious whether eaten fresh right out of the bag or perfectly toasted. With so many fun flavors to choose from, feel free to explore and find your own favorite topping and way to enjoy them!

🐶Haru's Tip for Anko filled Bagels (Haru, Natsu Bagel) :

Our Anko bagels are amazing eaten fresh right out of the bag! If you want to toast it, keep it whole so the yummy filling stays inside—just watch it closely so it doesn’t burn. But for the ultimate treat, slice it in half, toast it,(carefully so the filling stays in place) and melt a slice of butter on top—it is absolute heaven! 😋
